A puppy is old enough to train at 6 weeks. If you were to take the puppy home as soon as possible, (8 weeks) I would only have 2 weeks to instill these behaviors.

When your little puppy first jumps up and puts its paws on you, it’s the most adorable thing. However, when he’s full grown and jumping on your guests, it’s a different story.
This reminds me of one family in particular. They couldn’t wait to give me their dog. She was just too much for them, they said. This 7-month-old dog was still acting like a wild puppy and was never taught any manners.
Believe me, most of their trouble would have been avoided if they only taught their pup a few commands!
